Annual Family Trip

Each year for the last 4 years we've had a Stanley Family Vacation.   Getting all my step-kids, their spouses, and children all in one place once a year is a challenge.  This year we were missing two spouses, I think we've only been successful at getting EVERYONE together once.  Oh well, we give it our best shot.
Since everyone is grown & is spread out we've chosen different spots each year.  Mt Hood, OR, Hood Canal, WA, Chelan, WA, and this year it was Leavenworth, WA.

We're all loaded up and ready to go!  We had to drop off our dogs, Raleigh & Koira, to be boarded for the weekend.  Lil' June rode with us up to Leavenworth since her dad, drove the vehicle we needed to deliver to Casse (youngest step daughter) with a table & chair set included (we don't waste a trip!)
We had 5 hours of driving and June did NOT stop talking the whole way.  You would not think a 3 year old had SO much to say.  "Juju, Juju, Juju, I miss you" "I'm right here June" "Papa Clyde, I miss you" "I'm right here June", repeat...

We had her watching some cartoons on my phone, she was able to figure out the camera on my phone to take photos...little smarty pants.

Soon after we arrived, the other two grandkids got here too!  Ava & Fiona happy to be out of the car after their LONG drive (I think they were happy to see us too)

Finally, Casse & her fiancé, Joe arrived from Spokane.  My talented husband was so excited to give them (die hard 49ers fans) the metal logo he made for them...they were pretty excited about it too.  Did I mention my husband is talented?

The next day we did some fishing in a little trout pond.  The little girls got to catch their first fish with the expert advice from Jesse, a commercial fisherman...he's headed up to Alaska to fish for most of the summer right after we get home.

The trip to Leavenworth (a cutesy Bavarian village) would not be complete without the Chicken Dance to accordion music, of course. It's a good thing the little girls are too young to be embarrassed by the grown ups.

And we brought razor clams for dinner!  (dug by yours truly & my hubby too)  A treat for the girls since they don't live by the ocean anymore....so good!

No family trip is complete without a group photo showcasing the Stanley Signature Pose....no one is allowed to leave until it's done!

One more vacation for the books! Lots of fun crammed into one weekend....we got next year's vacation already picked out!
