Wedding Dress Cake

I had a bridal shower for Casse last weekend and I had some fun with the cake for the party.  This wedding dress cupcake "cake" was really easy and it turned out pretty stinkin' cute!

Started off with chocolate cupcakes

added some chocolate cream cheese filling.

Here is the cake board that dad made...because a cake this cute has to have a custom cake board, of course.

Arranged the cupcakes to resemble a dress.

Then frosted them all with a big star tip and added the sparkly ribbon for a sash.

I added a fabric flower and then got a little wild with the pink pearl candies.

 

  

All done! 

 I was pretty happy with the end result and the fact that it survived the trip to the party in one piece.

And even happier that Casse liked the cake.
